To turn on promethean projector without remote:
1. Turn the projector off2. Press and hold the Menu button while you power it on with your remote control.

3. While still holding down the button, press any button on your remote control to enter Setup mode. Then press and hold either Enter or Exit to enter System setup mode, depending on which screen appears first (see below).

4. Press the left arrow button on your remote control until the On option is highlighted, then press Enter.5. Press the right arrow button until Standby Delay is highlighted, then press Enter.

6. Press the up and down arrow buttons to set Standby Delay to 2 or 3 minutes, then press Enter. Press Exit to exit System setup mode.

1) unplug power cord from back of the projector (green screw holes) . Make sure you face it in a direction where no one will trip over it or you can trip over it yourself (since it will still be plugged into an electrical outlet).

2) hold down volume-down button on your remote until the red android light blinks3) plug balance back in

5. press the center button again to return to home screen. It should now be running without a remote or any touch controls.

6. to reboot projector: press menu, then power and then de-selecting (from menu it looks similar to Menu + Home). Make sure that if you have set up settings that you deselect those settings first. (setting for internet, for instance).

7. if projector still does not work you can try pressing the reset button (little label on top of projector) to factory reset.

8. if that is successful, you may need to unplug the projector, hold down the power button again, keep holding until it turns off, then replug it in and repeat process again. In order to do this without messing up your settings, press Menu + Home first before unplugging and plugging back in.

9. if this does not work, try returning to the site here and follow the instructions there to manualy hard reset using buttons on the projector. It is important that you make a note of what settings were previously on your projector before doing so. If you do not know how to navigate around from the remote or touch control without one, good luck!

**also if you do not have a remote (how it usually comes from factory), you will need to buy some kind of universal remote in order to access menu and turn it back on again. If you plug in a regular remote, it will only work for power off and power on through home screen. If you plug in a universal remote, you should be able to access other functions through home screen**

I read this article looking for info on my own older model Promethean projector; I'd turned it off by mistake, didn't have the remote control handy and couldn't figure out how to get it going again without turning off the power strip. I tried this procedure without success (I was too slow with my remote control button presses); however I tried it again with the power strip unplugged from the wall and found success.
